A competition for 18 to 25 year olds

Based closely on the BBC programme The Apprentice, this summer Congleton Borough has its own version of the competition - but the difference is... nobody gets fired!

Who is the competition for?

We are looking for individuals with an interest and flair for business - you don't have to have a glittering academic background but you do have to be prepared to test yourself and 'have a go'.

What's involved?

18th to 31st August, ten finalists will be asked to work in teams to complete a number of tasks - carefully chosen to test core business skills: sales, marketing, design, teamwork, and negotiation. Filming will take place during the whole process.

Selection starts from 28th July and the winners and runners up will be awarded cash prizes at an awards evening on 17th October.

A unique opportunity to develop your project idea into a viable social enterprise.

Business Support Solutions Start up and Legal Structure Programmes are aimed at individuals or groups who wish to set up a social enterprise and require support with developing their vision and plan their project.

We will take you on a structured journey from developing your initial business idea, constituting a working group, planning for action, identifying practical solutions for finance and marketing right through to formalising your business proposition and setting up as a company.

The programmes comprise a number of Workshops and One to One business support sessions, designed to give you the practical skills needed to develop and start a social enterprise. In addition to this we maintain contact with delegates at all time to ensure their experience is positive and progress is achieved.

We provide a professional learning and networking environment for like-minded social entrepreneurs.
